The Pickle House Christmas Guide: Drinks, Gifts & Boxing Day Bloody Marys

With the countdown to Christmas well and truly on, now's the time to sort out your festive essentials. A little planning goes a long way, and having the right drinks in hand means you can enjoy the festivities without the stress.

Keep Your Drinks Simple (But Special)

The secret to a smooth festive period is having something delicious that works for everyone. Our award-winning Spiced Tomato Mix is the perfect solution – it's already perfectly balanced, so there's no need to faff about with hot sauce, Worcestershire, or seasoning. Just pour over ice, add vodka if you fancy it, and you're done.

Whether you're drinking or not, a Bloody Mary (or Virgin Mary) feels special. It's grown-up, it's refreshing, and it's a million miles away from the usual festive drinks lineup.

Gifting Sorted

Still hunting for those final stocking fillers or something to take to your host? Our Gift Boxes are available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions – beautifully packaged and ready to gift. They're perfect for the Bloody Mary enthusiasts in your life, or as a little treat for yourself to get through the festivities.

The Boxing Day Bloody Mary

After the chaos of Christmas Day, Boxing Day morning deserves something restorative. Here's how to make the perfect Bloody Mary:

Ingredients:

  • 50ml vodka (optional – leave it out for a Virgin Mary)
  • 150ml The Pickle House Spiced Tomato Mix
  • Ice
  • Celery stick, lemon wedge, and a sprinkle of our Bloody Mary Salt

Method: Fill a glass with ice, add your vodka if using, top with our mix, and stir gently. Garnish with celery, lemon, and a pinch of our salt. That's it – no measuring, no guesswork, just a perfectly balanced drink to ease you into the day.

Made on our founder Florence's grandparents' farm in Suffolk, our mix does all the work for you. Quality ingredients, proper flavour, and none of the fuss.

Give Yourself Permission to Relax

Christmas is about the people, not perfection. Stock your fridge, keep things simple, and actually enjoy the time with your loved ones. And with National Bloody Mary Day falling on January 1st, you've got the perfect excuse to keep the celebrations going into the New Year.

Here's to a Christmas that's warm, welcoming, and wonderfully stress-free.

Cheers, The Pickle House x
